-: Research Summary :-

My research area covers a balanced approach from multidisciplinary area of chemistry in understanding the surface as well as interface science of novel functional nano-materials accompanied by fundamental studies to improve the activity of the materials for various applications. The applications of novel nano/micro structured materials are based on addressing fundamental chemical problems, highly relevant to contemporary important societal issues such as energy conversion and storage, alternative renewable energy, environment and sustainability, catalysis, nanotechnology and electrochemical sensing/electroanalysis. The major approach is on the designing, fabrication, characterization and fundamental understanding of the structure, reactivity and physical surface as well as inter-facial properties of novel in a broad sense. The key aspect of my research is to address the significance of surface microstructure and other physicochemical properties of designed novel materials based on noble/transition metals, metal oxides/sulfides/nitrides/selenides and hetero-nanocomposites to improve the performance of electrode materials for supercapacitors, fuel cells and ion batteries; catalysts/electrocatalysts for environmental applications & oxygen electrochemistry; functional materials for water remediation; and active materials for electrochemical sensing of bio molecules.

Mr. Nemi Chand Mawari has defended his PhD Thesis........
